Matilda Woodroofe

Matilda Woodroofe (she/her) is a Set and Costume Designer with a diverse body of work and range of experience spanning across theatre, dance, TV, film, and events. 

Malthouse Theatre: Set & Costume Designer for Truth, This Is Living and Stay Woke; Set Dresser for Hour of the Wolf; and Design Associate for Because the Night and Going Down. Other Theatre: Set & Costume Designer for Cost of Living (Melbourne Theatre Company); Costume Designer for You Got Older and Sunshine (Red Stitch Actors’ Theatre); Design Associate for Random (Belvoir), Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes and Minnie and Liraz (Melbourne Theatre Company); Set Decorator for Spear (Bangarra Dance Theatre); Costume Coordinator for The Picture of Dorian Gray (Michael Cassel Group & Sydney Theatre Company); and Event Designer for Rising Festival 2021 and 2022.

Matilda completed a Bachelor of Production at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2014 and was the 2016 Emerging Designer placement for The Rabble. Matilda has been nominated for four Green Room Awards for Design.
