Meri Blazevski
Video Designer
Meri Blazevski (she/her) is a film editor and video designer with a background in art and film with an interest in storytelling and narrative structure.
Malthouse Theatre: Video Designer for Truth. Other Theatre: AV Designer for Blackout Songs (Red Stitch Actors’ Theatre). Television: The Pacific (HBO); and Offspring (Southern Star). Film: Where the Wild Things Are (dir. Spike Jones); Blueback, The Home Song Stories and The Bank. Recently, Meri edited the feature film SH*T, co-directed by Susie Dee and Trudy Hellier, based on an award-winning play by Patricia Cornelius.
Meri has edited multiple award-winning short films, including Gugu na Gogo, winner of the People’s Choice Award at New York Film Festival and Jupiter which won multiple awards at Melbourne Queer Film Festival. Meri is currently working on AACTA funded short film, Listen, currently in post-production.
Meri’s interest in both film and art has led her to work with some of Australia’s most prominent visual artists including David Rosetzky, Christian Thomson, and Shelley Lassica, showcasing her multidimensional approach to editing and visual storytelling.
